To the Falls

After 13.5 hours on the bus yesterday we are finally almost at the Iguacu Falls. On the border of Brazil and Argentina, Igauacu Falls is spread over 2.5 miles in a horseshoe shape and fall 269 feet into the Iguacu River. They are the result of a volcanic eruption that happened about 100 million years ago. The falls are actually made up of 275 different falls or cataracts.

Before our long trip to the falls we have been in Lajeado and Santa Rosa. Two small beautiful cities that hosted us for a couple of nights. The people were wonderful and were very welcoming. We also made a quick stop in Ivoti. Here we perfomed another great concert and stayed with another set of great host families.

Until our next post!
